Recently I popped into an ethnic supermarket in Scunthorpe. Half a dozen different kefir to choose from. The staff could give me no guidance.
At random, I picked two, one from Poland one from Romania.
Krasnystaw kefir from Poland in another league to any kefir I’ve previously tried. Creamy and citrus notes.
Excellent as a glass of kefir at breakfast, or added to muesli.
The label says live microbes and kefir grains.
I contacted bit dairies. Last week I heard from Romania to tell me their kefir did not contain live cultures. The Polish dairy has not got back to me.
