A greasy spoon cafe masquerading as a coffee shop, in a street lined with disgusting junk food takeaways.
The location is not good, a busy traffic-clogged road, close to traffic lights. Around the corner in one direction, a greasy spoon cafe that is always empty, the same around the other corner.
No outside seating.
Balloons. Tacky.
On the shelves, rows of syrups, not a good sign.
The coffee, sourced from a supplier of catering supply coffee, bagged in their own name.
Dreadful loud music.
Closed at four on a Saturday. Maybe not a bad idea, as from mid-afternoon onwards, gangs of drunken scum visiting the binge drinking bars in the High Street.
During the week closed at two!
One minute around the corner in The High Street, an excellent coffee shop, very popular for waffles. Five minutes walk away, two more excellent coffee shops.
A depressing contrast to The Wandering Goat last weekend, excellent coffee, knowledgeable barista.
Beyond Coffee are also in Collingham. The Allotment is the coffee shop to visit in Collingham, excellent vibes, excellent service, excellent coffee, excellent food and excellent cakes.
