Palin hate speech = murder

If a Detroit Muslim put a map on the web with crosshairs on 20 politicians, then one of them got shot, where would he be sitting right now? Just asking. — Michael Moore

Violent acts are what happen when you create a climate of hate. — Paul Krugman

Don’t retreat – instead, RELOAD! — Sarah Palin

The vile Sarah Palin must be charged with incitement to murder.

Congress woman Gabrielle Giffords lies sedated in a critical condition after a bullet passed through her head.

Nine-year-old Christina Greene was shot dead. She was born on 9/11. She served on her student council and was the only girl on a baseball team. Her only ‘crime’ to get caught in the crossfire of the hate from Sara Palin.

Christina Greene had an interest in government. She was there to meet her congresswoman.

Six innocent people have been killed, 13 injured.

Opponent of Gabrielle Giffords, Jesse Kelly, called for her to be shot with a M16.

Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik summed up the situation when he told a news conference:

When you look at unbalanced people, how they respond to the vitriol that comes out of certain mouths about tearing down the government. The anger, the hatred, the bigotry that goes on in this country is getting to be outrageous. And, unfortunately, Arizona I think has become sort of the capital. We have become the Mecca for prejudice and bigotry. That may be free speech. But it’s not without consequence.

If a bunch of Muslims published pictures of US politicians with crosshairs on their heads we all know what would happen. A US hit squad would take them out.

Sarah Palin called for violence against Julian Assange.

Since the Tuscon massacre in Arizona Sarah Palin has been in a mad scramble to delete all incriminating evidence from the net.

Will the Department of Justice be serving a subpoena on twitter and other internet companies to recover the incriminating evidence against Palin, or will the usual US double standards and hypocrisy apply? [see Who do they think they are?]

thanx for this—this is well-put together…… i got here by searching for ‘incitement to murder’ naively thinking the net would be full of the phrase… i posted a link here on facebook… hope you don’t mind. one of my correspondents there replied with a comment from a canadian blog which you may find pithy:

“As an American, I have watched one party – and only one party – cater to and adopt the language of guns, warfare and violent revolution increasingly during the past two years. Not both parties . . . one… party. I have watched people stand at political rallies with exposed guns in those states which allow open carrying of guns defiantly declaring that they are exercising their right to do so as guaranteed by the constitution as they put it, “to send a message.” I’ve listed to countless politicos on the right and their fervent supporters drone on about the illegitimate (nazi, communist, fascist, socialist, muslim . . . take your pick) President they claim is out to destroy our country. I’ve heard them spouting countless times in word and in signs that the tree of democracy has to be sprinkled with blood sometimes. And, now, when a congresswoman is shot through the head and others lay dead including a 9-year old girl, just for participating in an open Democracy as citizens, I’m supposed to sit back, wait for the evidence, understand he was disturbed, and ignore every disturbing thing I’ve witnessed and heard in the period leading up to the tragedy. Well, to that I say bullshit. I didn’t have to “jump to any conclusions” when this happened. I predicted it over a year ago when the teabag crowd first started spewing their hateful, racist rhetoric in public, proud to spew their ignorant rants for the world to see. Violent rhetoric ultimately leads to actual violence. History shows it always does. So I’ll be damned if I’m gonna sit idly by and let the ranting ideologues get a free pass simply because they offer vague condemnations after fanning the flames for months now. The party of personal responsibility needs to step up and acknowledge there is such a thing as unintended consequences and that words are powerful and convincing. I frankly don’t care that they didn’t want it to happen. Their words reached a disturbed individual, who acted out their repeated musings. Anyone fueling violent rhetoric and fearful frenzy played a part in allowing this to happen . . . encouraging it to happen. And the more good people, regardless of political leaning are willing to call out those who employ drumbeats of violence to advance their political objectives, the better. The madness in the US needs to end . . . now.”

    thanx again,

From outside the US we see these rants, especially against Julian Assange and Wikileaks, calls for him to be gunned down in cold blood, when he has done nothing other than expose hypocrisy, cant and war crimes and we wonder are these people for real, they are nutters who should be locked away and at the every least face criminal charges for incitement to violence and murder and yet these nutters are elected to political office.

Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Limbaugh, and many other right-wing hate and fear mongering creatures are responsible for this tragedy today. They have the blood of innocent people in their hands including a 9 year old girl. Their hate filled rhetoric and actions must be stopped immediately and they must be held responsible for their calls to violence. They are the worst of America. Full with hate, ignorance, bigotry, prejudices, racism, etc…. and the only goal they have is making money based on all of the above. They are “BAD AMERICANS” traitors to the principles of this country. They might not pulled the trigger physically, but they “loaded” the gun with hate than this 22 year old crazy man used against innocent people. And if this government doesn’t set up and example to stop this “hate madness”. they will loose their credibility of “justice for all”.
