Rump steak tomatoes and mushrooms

A griddle pan on a high heat (or large frying pan).

A little olive oil.

Rump steak out of the fridge for at least an hour, coat with olive oil, season with salt and pepper.

Lay the steak in the hot pan away from you (that we do not get splashed).

Add mushrooms and cherry tomatoes.

After a minute or so, turn the mushrooms. Periodically turn the mushrooms.

Turn the steak over after 2-3 minutes.

Add a little butter. As butter melts, baste with the butter.

After 2-3 minutes, turn off the heat.

Leave steak in the pan, residual heat, it will go from rare to medium rare.

Serve with potatoes.

With left over potatoes I would have sautéed. Instead rosti potatoes in fan oven 180C twenty minutes, turn over half way.

Accompanied by red wine.

Follow by triple chocolate traybake brownie.
