Friday afternoon in Guildford.
A dull day, but at least not raining. Not cold.
Arrived an hour later than I would have wished. Buses do not turn up, miss train by seconds, next train delayed.
Lunch at Thai Restaurant in Jeffries Passage. Food fine, but service slow and surly.
On a whim, pick up a copy of Fisherman’s Woman from Ben’s Records.
Never heard of Emiliana Torrini, but then neither had Ben.
Ben has a Record Fair in The Keep (opposite Guildford Castle) today (Saturday). You never know what you may find.
Excellent coffee from new coffee shop, Turn Fit Deli. Weird name. Coffee, coffee beans, light lunches, cakes and cookies, everything home made by different people. Absolutely no excuse for farmers on farmers market letting themselves and everyone else down buying disgusting coffee from Costa or tax-dodging Starbucks.
