Many stray dogs in Syntagma, outside the Parliament.

Were they staging an anti-austerity  protest?

Each had a tag and collar.

Asleep on the street, friendly.

Sadly many have been abandoned by their owners, no longer able to afford to keep them.

The dogs were happy for human companionship.

The local community looks after them.
