Alameda

Alameda

Alameda

Alameda is a park, a wooded hillside,  tree-lined avenues, with views across to open countryside.

More like England than Spain, with daffodils.

The park even has a bandstand.

The trees, not yet in leaf, from the peeling bark, appeared to be pollarded Plane trees.

Sitting atop the hillside, the derelict church of Santa Susana.

In contrast with old city of Santiago de Compostela which is freezing cold with a freezing cold north wind blowing, Alameda pleasantly warm.
