Spring afternoon in Farnham

River Wey flowing through Gostrey Meadow

What a difference does a month make.

A month or so ago, the River Wey fast flowing, overflowing its banks.

Today, although still fast flowing and higher than usual, nothing as it was a month or so ago.

What a difference does a week make. What a difference does a couple of days make.

Last week cold, the following days each day getting colder, mid-week frost in the morning and very cold nights.

Yesterday, no longer cold.

Today, last weekend in March, a lovely warm sunny spring day in Farnham.

I did not get to Farnham until late afternoon, as went on a wild goose chase in Aldershot.

I walked through Gostrey Meadow, then sat in the churchyard and read Sacred Economics on Kobo Touch. The warmth though had now gone from the sun.

I walked to Waitrose. I wish they would improve their awful service and man the checkouts. Better service in Morrisons in nearby Aldershot. I like though the free coffee and wifi.

Late lunch at The Barn.

Leaving The Barn, now dark, I thought it would be cold, as clear sky, but surprisingly not.
