Met on Twitter. Landed free studio time. Made an album. Signed to an imaginary label. PWYW. That’s Jazz 2.0 — Andrew Dubber
I hadn’t intended to record a trio album. In fact, I hadn’t really intended to record an album at all. — Darin Wilson
It as it says on the label. Impromptu.
Darin Wilson, two mates, access to some unexpected studio time and Impromptu was the result.
Impromptu is mainly though not entirely mainstream jazz. It becomes more avant garde as the album unfolds. Jazz is something I would not normally like, and yet this is great. Maybe I am getting a liking for jazz. I think not.
Cool late night listening.
Impromptu has been released on Any And All Records.
