Louis Armstrong (1901 – 1971), nicknamed Satchmo, was an American jazz trumpeter and singer from New Orleans, Louisiana. He is best known for playing the trumpet, his most famous work was singing What a Wonderful World.
He had a very distinctive, gravelly voice.
The Kindness of Strangers (on Live So Far – Steve Lawson and Lobelia) is wonderful improvisation of the Louis Armstrong classic What a Wonderful World.
