Ezekiel saw wheels within wheels (Ezekiel 1:15-21):
As I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each creature with its four faces. This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: They sparkled like chrysolite, and all four looked alike. Each appeared to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel. As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not turn about as the creatures went. Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims were full of eyes all around.
When the living creatures moved, the wheels beside them moved; and when the living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose.
Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
When the creatures moved, they also moved; when the creatures stood still, they also stood still; and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels rose along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
Occasionally strange objects like wheels within wheels are seen in Iraq. They only appear within St George’s in Baghdad, at some other churches in Iraq and at Ezekiel’s Tomb in El Kifl, just north of Najaf.
It is not known what they are, they are very prolific. In photos they appear as blobs.
Canon Andrew White describes these strange wheels within wheels in his book Faith Under Fire:
Occasionally, we also see strange images appearing around the place that look like wheels within wheels. We have actually taken photos of these and some appear in this book [Faith Under Fire]. At times, these wheels (that can at times appear like blobs) are so prolific that it is difficult to take pictures because they are everywhere. I have tried many different cameras, but the results are always the same. We do not understand what the images are, but we regard them as a sign of the presence of the Spirit of God. We are in the same land that the Prophet Ezekiel was in when he saw something similar.
Angels also appear in St George’s.

I only cited the wheels within wheels as these wheels are being observed in Iraq now, read the entire chapter of Ezekiel 1 and it is even weirder.
Did Ezekiel actually see the wheels within wheels or was it a vision? Today the wheels within wheels are being seen in Iraq. That they appear on photos as fuzzy blobs indicates an energy source, beyond that, who knows.
I am asking those who observe to paint what they see. Maybe an exhibition. Photos only show strange blobs floating in mid air.

Keith I thank you for writing about this and talking about what we see all the time in Iraq. I am a fairly ordinary Anglican Cleric working in an extra ordinary place. We see the wheel we see Angels and all the time we are surrounded by the glory of G-d. There is so much that we cannot explain but all we know is that the Lord id here and his Spirit is with us.

They only appear as blobs in photos. Treat yourself to a copy of Faith Under Fire, get your local library to order a copy. You will find photos, but all that shows is blobs.

We have seen them in western Turkey, and a couple other areas. The common denominator from what I have noticed, is that in each occasion, there has been deep & extended time of worship and a strong Presence of the Lord. Its quite beautiful, but as Canon Andrew describes, “it can be difficult to take pictures, because they are everywhere.” Intriguing for sure.

Interesting. Do you know of any connection with Ezekiel in this area of Turkey? Any myths or legends? Have they been seen before? Do locals refer to them, if yes, what is their explanation?

Find this a little hard…my science teaching background makes me want to explain all this, yet at the same time i think we see one more case where G-d is working in new ways, pointing, i think to a re-awaking of the whole Christian church as the increasing attacks on the churches at home and abroad are also indications that the time is getting nearer !
We hear of the growing attacks on Christian Churches even in Israel ( as well as other parts of the world ) yet hear more often of individual or small groups of one church or churches and other faith also finding common ground.
Dispite the more shameful troubles in the church in the Holy Land, there is a gradual coming together of many, as they say – the truth will out !
We echo the prayer ( and hope we all mean it ) “Even so, come Lord Jesus, come”

This does not provide an explanation, nor looking at the drawings can I see any mechanical advantage as one would get with a lever or a pulley.

Nor does it explain what is being seen in Iraq (and possibly Turkey) today. Why would pulleys materialise out of thin air, why when photographed appear as blobs?

It would be great if people can paint or sketch what they see,
We could mount an exhibition at the Iraq conference in July. Maybe an auction for fund raising.
But ask the wheels first, they may not like it.
