This is the best time of year for the farmers market in Guildford, plenty of fruit and vegetable stalls. It also coincides with the Guildford Summer Festival.
Guildford Summer Festival (18 June to 7 August 2011). A pity the brochure is organised not in chronological order but by type of event. A pain to quickly find what is on.
There will be an extra farmers market on Saturday 30 July 2011. Common sense would have put the extra market midway between the two Tuesday markets. Crass stupidity to have it the last Saturday of July, only three days before the next Tuesday market!
After the disaster of last year, there is no Ambient Picnic this year.
Two months ago a survey was carried out of both the public and the stall holders. Why have these results not been made public?
St Mary’s Church were serving free pancakes in the church yard over lunch. They will be doing the same Monday and Tuesday of next week. [see Bible-in-a-room]
