In the British Museum lies a thorn from the Crown of Thorns.

The Crown of Thorns was held in Constantinople. When short of money, the Crown of Thorns was pawned to Venice. The King of France learnt of this and bought the Crown and built a chapel to house it and other Holy Relics.

The most precious gift the King of France could give was a thorn from the Crown of Thorns, which he gave to a French nobleman. This found its way into the British Museum.

For Sian who did not believe!
